GLENVILLE, NY (Sept. 9, 2015) — The Meadows at Glenwyck will host a “Downsizing for Seniors” seminar on Thursday, Sept, 17 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Held at Glenwyck, which is located at 150 Dutch Meadows Lane (just behind WalMart) in Glenville, the presentation is free and open to the public. Please call (518) 280-7340 to reserve a seat. Light refreshments will be served.
Michelle Kavanaugh, owner, Organize Senior Moves and Marion DeSantis, licensed associate real estate broker with Realty USA, will present. They will provide information on current market conditions, staging and marketing your home for today’s buyer, strategically pricing your home to maximize equity, downsizing and sorting, packing, as well as unpacking and setting up your new place to look and feel like home.
The session will also feature an opportunity for attendees to ask current residents questions about how they transitioned from their house into Glenwyck, a 110-unit independent living community in Glenville designed for those 55+ who want to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle without all the hassles of home ownership.
“Downsizing can be daunting, but the freedom people feel after it’s all said and done makes it all worthwhile,” said Glenwyck Senior Living Consultant Scott Bryant. “We encourage those considering moving to an independent living community to begin the process well in advance because in addition to putting a house on the market there are many possessions that need to be sorted through.”
